Homebirth Midwifery care
Prenatal care can begin as soon as you discover you are pregnant, or whenever you are ready to seek a health care provider. Prenatal care consists of one-hour long monthly appointments until 32 weeks of pregnancy, bi-monthly appointments from 32-36 weeks, and weekly appointments from 36 weeks until the birth. Prenatal appointments are aimed to monitor the health and well-being of both you and your baby, and to provide education so that you can make informed choices about your own body and healthcare options.
During your homebirth, Jasmine will come to your house as labor becomes active. Jasmine attends births with the intention of allowing the birth process to unfold naturally. She interferes as little as possible while ensuring and maintaining you and your baby's physical and emotional safety. She remains with you until your baby is born and you and your baby are both settled in and doing well.
Postpartum care continues through at least 6 weeks postpartum. You will always have a 1 and 3 day postpartum home-visit by someone on your birth team. You will have a minimum of 3 additional in-office postpartum appointments to monitor the health and well-being of both you and your baby.
Natural Birth Services offers holistic OB/GYN care. This includes vaginal health and flora support, PAP smears, testing for Sexually Transmitted Infections (STIs) or other bacterial infections, family planning and birth control consultation, fittings for diaphragms and cervical caps, and support during times of change, such as menopause or other hormonal shifts.
